OUR WATCH HAS ENDED (literally).
After 595 days, the long wait was finally over! Game of Thrones Season 8 premiered on HBO, April 14, 2019 and we at Dark Horse Direct were very excited to watch each of the 6 episodes that would conclude the series. Just before the final season premiere, Dark Horse Direct also launched pre-orders for the long anticipated Game of Thrones: Ice Dragon and The Night King Premier statue. Dark Horse Direct Favorite Moments:
Episode 1: Tormund is alive! Tormund is alive! Also...Cersei hearts elephants, who knew?
Episode 2: SER Brienne of Tarth (*I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying*). GHOST, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! And finally, Tormund giving us (or more specifically Brienne by way of Jamie) a history lesson on his Giantsbane name.

Update: Ok, now that we've had a few days to mentally and emotionally recover, all we have to say is Cersei has green eyes and the race for The Throne can officially begin.
Also, DO BETTER FOR GHOST, GOT, IN THESE FINAL 3 EPISODES. UGH.
Episode 4: Westeros is a hard place to be in the aftermath of the Great War. Tormund, Brienne, Gendry, and Ghost are all nursing broken hearts. No one is listening to Sansa or Tyrion. Cersei is cutting down our favs and Danerys is going to rage out at any moment. Do us all another solid, Arya, and calm this ish down.
Episode 5: Happy Mother's Day, indeed! The winners of this week's episode? The smaller moments. Tyrion & Varys. Tyrion & Jamie. Arya & Sandor. It's all going to end next week. Are you ready?
Episode 6: Our watch has ended, friends. Sansa becoming Queen in the North, Arya following her passions to the unknown in the west, and Ghost finally getting his "Good Boy" pat all leave us with full hearts. We couldn't be more thankful for this wonderfully epic series bringing us all together each week to passionately discuss something that means so much to us all. Here's looking to the upcoming prequels to keep the love alive!
